Perou has done a daily online diary on his website which i have looked through and read most of it to find out what he does and how he likes to take his pictures. He doesn’t seem to stick to one thing. My favorite pictures of his are the ones he didn’t plan, not photo shoots. A lot of his photo’s are of his two sons Maximum and Z, they are really good images showing their unexpected expressions.

Here is one I took of my little sister which was influenced by Perou’s images. I took it in black and white, using my sister as she is someone close to me like he is with his sons. I shot mine at night as I wanted the black background, also i wanted her in her woolly hat and scarf to show the time of year, i got her not smiling as Perou’s pictures are like that. I used my flashgun and a quick shutter speed to keep the image sharp.
