''Winner of Best Narrative Short at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival and nominated for an Oscar.''
This is a great short film that i have found. It makes you really feel sorry and upset for the main character Joseph, at the beginning then you slowly seem to grow with him and feel happier. When the young female pupil sticks up for Joseph at the start it brings a smile for yourself and the viewer automatically warms to her. It sort of confuses you at times when it cuts to his life back home in Africa but you understand that he was close to his teacher which was then took away from him.
I like how the bit that skips back to the past is edited differently to show the contrast. There are parts that make you laugh which is a great element to a short film and keeps the viewer interested. The video is shot from all different angles also keeping the viewers attention and not getting boring on the eyes.

APRICOT by Ben Briand

This is a short film that i found on another source 'Vimeo'. I really like how it is filmed like so close to the actors faces it seems so intense, also the script is very mysterious as the male answers a lot of his questions using 'i don't remember'. I cannot find anything bad to say about this short film and I would definitely say its my favorite that i have found whilst doing my research.

RED MASK by Avid Liongoren
This video is another favourite that i found again on Vimeo. I like how it skips between the past and present and also the fact that it has a good story line to it. It makes you feel like you want it to carry on so you can find out more, i think this whole idea would make a good film. It looks very good quality. There are no words spoken but i think words would ruin such a good short film. It makes you ask questions at the beginning and you dont know exactly what genre it is going to be as the name does not give anything away. The audio goes particually well and has its ups and downs which attach perfectly with the ups and downs of the visuals. The start of the film i think has been shot extremely well with all the different angles of the camera which starts the viewer off guessing. It is a great teenage love story.

EARTHQUAKE Labrinth ft. Tinie Tempah
I have also researched music video's as that is a different type of videography. I chose this as there is lots of graphics used, i would love to be able to create something as good as this.  In my opinion this is one of the most thought through video's at the moment, i feel a lot of work has gone into this. Even though i do not know much about film im guessing this has been done using a green screen, i searched to see if i could find a 'making of' video which would then give me a better idea of it but was not successful. All the different aspects of this video really does keep the viewers attention from beginning to end and suits the song very well.
